No affiliation with any authority

EMREE UAE is an independent platform. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by or acting on behalf of UAE University, the National Institute for Health Specialties (NIHS), the Department of Health Abu Dhabi, Dubai Health or the Dubai Health Authority (DHA), Mohammed Bin Rashid University of Medicine and Health Sciences (MBRU), Emirates Health Services or any other government body, regulator, university or employer. Names of exams, organisations and programmes are used only to describe them accurately.

Official information takes precedence

We summarise official information about the Emirates Medical Residency Entrance Examination (EMREE) and UAE residency, and we cite our sources and show the date we last verified each page. However, exam rules, pass marks, fees, dates, eligibility criteria and selection processes are set by the relevant authorities and can change at any time. Where anything on this site differs from an official source, the official source is correct. Always confirm details on the official websites before registering, paying, travelling or applying.

Where an official source does not publish a detail, we say so. We do not fill gaps with assumptions presented as fact.

No guarantee of results

Using our practice questions, mock exams, study plans or guides does not guarantee that you will pass EMREE, achieve a particular score or be offered a residency place. Results depend on many factors, including your preparation, the exam board’s standard setting and each authority’s selection process. Scores on our practice questions and mock exams are indicators for your own study only. They are not predictions of your official result and are not recognised by any authority.

Likewise, study plans, revision priorities, interview advice and similar guidance on this site are our own recommendations. They are not official requirements, and you should adapt them to your own circumstances, baseline and available time.

Practice questions are original

Our questions are written independently to the official blueprint. They are not real, recalled or leaked EMREE questions, and they do not reproduce official exam content. Their format, difficulty and topics are designed to help you practise but may differ from the questions in any actual sitting. Some questions are labelled “Awaiting clinical review”; see our editorial policy for what this means.

Known limits of official information

Official information is not always complete or consistent, and we flag this where it affects you. For example, as of 1 November 2026: the 2026-27 EMREE calendar and pass mark had not been published; the exam board’s pages describe the AED 1,000 fee as both “excluding tax” and “all inclusive”; the number of answer options and any negative marking are not stated on current official pages; and two official pages gave different enrollment end dates for one 2025-26 sitting. In such cases we report what each source says rather than choosing silently. If a detail matters to your decision, contact the exam board or the relevant authority directly.

Not medical advice

Clinical content on this site is written to help candidates prepare for an examination. It is not medical advice, is not a clinical guideline, and must not be used to diagnose or treat patients or to make decisions about your own health. Clinical practice should follow current local guidelines, institutional policies, the applicable regulations and the judgement of qualified professionals. Medical knowledge changes, and content may not reflect the latest guidance at the time you read it.
